Ayoba-Yo had the pleasure of returning to our home land of South Africa recently. We adventured in the city of Cape Town, and spent some time in the neighboring town, Camps Bay. Cape Town has it all, views, activities, beaches and of course, some of the best food the world has to offer (including Biltong). We tried something from every food group and we were never disappointed. Here are some of our favorite food stops that are a must try if you ever have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Cape of Good Hope!
Mussels and Sushi at Umi Restaurant.
Great view of Camps Bay Beach and Great Sea Food/Sushi.
Brunch from Rupert and Rothschild Vineyard
We had breakfast and a wine sampling at this authentically South African vineyard. Great food and great wines!
Catered cheese spread at the Cartel Rooftop
A very cool rooftop bar that offers views of the city and Table Mountain. This delicious spread was served up for our family event.
Lamb Shank over mashed potatoes and Malva pudding at Hussar Grill
Boasting several locations around the Cape Town area, Hussar offered up one of the best meals we had all trip! The lamb is from the Karoo (located close by) who produces some of the best lamb in the world.
Salmon at Zenzero restaurant
Thanksgiving Charcuterie Biltong Board.
We had a 'braai' (barbeque) for Thanksgiving and this charcuterie table served up some delicious appies. The Biltong and Droewors was from The Boer and Butcher and some of the best we had all trip! Almost as good as our meats ;)
